School two weeks at a time. Paid work the rest of the year.

WECA apprentices train in an accelerated, intensive format: full-time classroom instruction and hands-on labs for two consecutive weeks, about every five to seven months. Each two-week session equals a full semester.

The rest of the time you're on the job, under the direct supervision of a licensed journeyperson, earning wages and logging the hours you need to graduate. Your tuition is paid by the WECA member contractor who employs you.

Contractors love the format too: no losing crew members two nights a week for four years, and no burned-out apprentices juggling work and night school.
